Why Fish in Vermont?

What is so special about fishing Vermont? In a matter of minutes after fishing, you can get in the car and enjoy an entirely different outdoor experience.

For instance: take a trip up Kelly Stand Road into the Green Mountain National Forest and experience the chance to catch a native brook trout and be inspired by its naturally painted, beautiful colors. After that, drive up the road and hike a bit of The Long Trail or explore our scenic mountain overlooks by car.

On the other side of the mountain, you can ride the chairlift to the top of Stratton Mountain and also visit the shops and restaurants at Stratton Village. Then there are dozens of places within 30 minutes to camp, with or without a reservation. If camping isn't your thing, one of New England's top destinations, the village of Manchester, is right in the heart of our area with world-class hotels, inns, and B&B's.
